Weirdpunk Books publishes horror, bizarro, and weird fiction in the spirit of punk and the diy ethos. Our books include Zombie Punks Fuck Off, Hybrid Moments: A Literary Tribute to the Misfits, and Blood For You: A Literary Tribute to GG Allin. Our forthcoming book, The New Flesh: A Literary Tribute to David Cronenberg is a bit of a change for the press. Thus far, our books have all been very punk-forward. While we aren’t opposed to putting our more books where punk takes center-stage, the punk element of the press is evolving to be more the tradition and spirit in how we operate and do business than the interior aesthetics of our books.
Weirdpunk Books was founded in 2015 by Emma Alice Johnson who ran the press for the first few years of its existence before passing the press over to editor Sam Richard in 2018.
In late 2019/early 2020, we will be releasing the debut-novella from an amazing up and coming author who we have worked with on one of our anthologies. Full announcement pending, but this will open a new chapter for us as a press, and if all goes well I believe we will try to put out a few single-author works a year.
